Completed basic training and qualified in the military occupational specialty of Heavy Truck Driver (MOS 931). Assigned to and served with Battery B, 233rd Anti- Aircraft Artillery (Searchlight) Battalion. Honorably discharged as a Private at the convenience of the government on November 7, 1946 at the Separation Center, Fort Hood, Texas. Earned the WWII Victory Medal for his service during the period of eligibility.
