  • Notes
    • Tragedy struck in the village of Noble at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday, when two Noble High School Students were killed instantly, and three other young people were injured in a car-train collision.

Killed were David L. Fulk, 16, of Noble a junior, and Stormy W. Greenwood. 16, of Olney Rt. 3, a senior.

Greenwood was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Greenwood. Greenwood is believed to have been the driver, and Fulk, son of Arthur and Joan Fulk, was apparently riding in the right front seat.

Injured were Gary Fulk, 12, of Noble, brother of David; Bruce Wells 15, of Noble; and Cary Kosack, 15, of Olney.

The collision occurred at the first crossing west of the depot in Noble, at a three-track crossing.
