- Wanda Maxine Tibbs, 88, of Clay City, was born on May 17, 1925 in Clay City, Illinois, the daughter of David and Bertha (Patridge) Murbarger. She married Charles "Hank" Tibbs on May 25, 1947 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2012.
Maxine liked country music and loved chocolate. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Riley; Daughter, Barbara Heath; Daughter, Rhonda Weidner; Daughter, Tina Hopson; Brother, Neil Murbarger; ten Grandkids, 18 Great Grandkids, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Pamela Heath, sister, "Babe 1" Murbarger, sister Cecile Murbarger Staser, and brothers, Opal Murbarger, Rolla Murbarger, Leo Murbarger, John Murbarger, Arkell Murbarger, Carroll Murbarger, Eath Murbarger, and Shelby Murbarger.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3rd, at 10:30am, at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, in Clay City; with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, August 2nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, in Clay City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Clay County.
