  Ralph A. McDowell, 82, Rt. 3, Sumner, died at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 7, 1986, in Richland Memorial Hospital. Visitation and services will be in Sivert-Macey FuneralHome in Sumner. 6-9 p.m. Burial willbe in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. McDowell was bom Oct. 4, 1904, in Wayne County, the son of Charles and Rilly (Walker) McDowell. He married Mary Leona Taylor and she preceded him in death March 26, 1977. He was self-employed in the fertilizer business. He was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Dale McDowell, Baldwin Park, Calif.; 2 daughters, Marjorie Danany and Jean Smith, both of Olney; a brother, Russell McDowell, Olney; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
