Jerry was a good man that loved & was loved by all. He made an impact on everyone's life. He would describe himself as "Aby-Normal", even his grandchildren called him Grandpa Goofy.
Jerry was a proud member of the American Legion and a lifetime History Channel Club member. He loved his time spent as volunteer Fire Chief in Spring Bay, Il. He spent his life driving semis all over the country and he was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a nature lover that adored all animals, walking the creek and making memories with his family at Wildlife Prairie Park. He became a professional rescuer of kids stuck in trees and his love of pick-up trucks led to teaching his kids to drive on old dirt roads. Jerry also adored Oreos, burgers, chocolate, Grandma's banana pudding and all his amazing friends at The Pet Palace. He had a great love of music, especially the Blues, but what he loved most was the wind in his hair and the roar of his Harley! Although he will forever be missed, we know that he lives on. For bikers never die, they just ride the clouds instead.
