  Nila Amerman, 89, of Clay City, IL, died April 22, 2005, at Richland Memorial hospital in Olney. Mrs. Amerman was born July 18, 195, in Bridgeport, IL, the daughter of Sylvester Clinton and Emma Runyon Smith. She married Fred Amerman May 23, 1930 in Wheatland, IN and he preceded her in death February 13, 1974. She was a retired nurse's assistant at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, and was a member of Clay City Baptist church. Survivors include four sons, Ronnia, Vance, Terry, and Jerry Amerman; three daughters, Sue Adams, Lila Deaton, and Aleta "Fi" Clontz; one sister, Waneda Childres; 28 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son Freddie L. Amerman; and three sisters, Verda Bach, Nellie Shivers, and Velma Burris. Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in the Clay City Cemetery. (Published Hometown Journal)
