Notes - Clarence R. Harrison, 65, of Flora, formerly of Clay City, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2004, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Burial with military honors.
Mr. Harrison was born on January 2, 1939, in Clay County, the son of Oran and Marguerite (Payne) Harrison.
He was a retired semi-truck driver. He was a member of Sailor Springs Christian Church and a member of Flora American Legion Post #14, Flora Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3999 and Flora Eagles Lodge. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and was an admirer of old Western movies.
Mr. Harrison is survived by a granddaughter, Ashten Harrison, of Clay City; a stepdaughter, Gina Ross and her husband, Robert, of Clay City; three sisters, Shirley Porter and her husband, David, of Louisville, Carolyn Woodruff and her husband, Chuck, of Pawnee, and Audrey Miller and her husband, Ray, of Clay City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kelly Harrison.
