    • Harold L. Foerster Obituary
      Harold L. Foerster, 85, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Olney.



      Harold was born February 22, 1939 in Olney, the son of William Henry Foerster and Grace V. (Patterson) Foerster. He married Cindy Galloway, and she survives.



      Harold was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney as well as a Mason, and after he retired from the railroad, he drove the Senior Citizens bus and for Rides Mass Transit until he retired again. He was a wonderful storyteller and had a great sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh. Harold never met a stranger and would talk to anyone at length. He had countless friends, and loved and cared for any and all animals that would come along. Harold will be dearly missed by all.



      Harold is survived by his wife, Cindy Foerster of Olney; daughter, Pam Carter of Olney, son, Charlie Foerster and wife Kristi of Charleston, IL, daughter, Heidi White and husband Thomas of St. Peters, MO; grandchildren, Floyd Carter, Ashby Leaf, Amber Elliott, Mariah White, and Ethan Foerster; great grandchildren, Cam Leaf, Alexia Emmett, Sophie Carter, Sydney Carter, Jenna Tonn, Konner Elliott, and Alice White; one great-great grandchild, Zydan Emmett; daughter-in-law, Julie Forester Lord, son-in-law, Jerry Leaf; sister, Frances "Toots" Stoll; several nieces and nephews; He is also survived by his beloved pets, Benji, Sassy Pants, and Missy Britches.



      He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harold Wayne Foerster, daughter, Millie Leaf; brothers, Raymond Foerster, John Foerster, Robert Foerster; sister, Pearl Anderson.



      A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on April 26, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one-hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be held at the funeral home.



      Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.



      Memorials can be made to St. Joseph School Foundation Trust or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
