  Marvin Harold Sharp, 69, of Clay City, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Visitation will be today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Harris officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery. Mr. Sharp was born on July 17, 1936, in Clay County, the son of Melvin James and Luella (Mitchell) Sharp. He married Dody Poppe, who preceded him in death in 1986. He married Mable Franklin who preceded him in death in August 2000. He was a former owner and employee at M&M Pump Supply in Clay City. He was a member of National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter. Mr. Sharp is survived by his mother, Luella Sharp of Clay City; his brother, Ray Dean Sharp and his wife, Dolores of Clay City; his dear friend, Geraldine Shroyer of Clay City; seven children, Rick Sharp and his wife, Vicky of Clay City, Sonya Adams and her husband, Jerry of North Carolina, Jenny Larrimore of Clay City, Shelley Hostettler of Florida, Barb Armstrong and fiance, Joel Henshon of Alabama, Kurt Snell of Clay City and Kim Foreman of Demont, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
