  Joyce graduated from DePaul Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis and started her career as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. She later worked for Richland Memorial Hospital and Weber Clinic in Olney with a total of 40 years of service as a nurse. During her retirement she volunteered for the RMH Auxiliary. She took pride in her career as a nurse and was a resource for family during sickness, illness, and injury. Joyce enjoyed reading and making picture books of her family and trips to Florida.
