Dorothy M. Blubaum, 68, of Clay City, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Dorothy was born January 18, 1947 in Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of John "Jack" and Ellen "Peggy" (Acklin) Banker. She married Ronald Blubaum on October 9, 1970.
Dorothy was involved in many saddle clubs and horse breed organizations. She raised, rode, and showed horses her entire life. She was also active with the 4-H extension program. Dorothy enjoyed watching and participating in sports. Dorothy enjoyed spending time outside with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Blubaum of Clay City; Daughter, Tracey Walker and husband Jim; Daughter, Lee Ann Storment and husband Joshua; six Grandchildren, Katherine Walker, John Walker, Coty Storment, Cole Storment, Jack Storment, and Emma Storment; Brother, Dave (Lori) Banker; Nephews, Levi Banker, Justin Banker, and Jason Banker; and Niece, Shawn Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard "Dick" Banker.
Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City.
Burial will follow services in Clay City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Clay County Saddle Club.
