  Cathryn Marie Corry, 73, of Flora, IL passed away at 11:10 AM Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home in Flora. She was born January 31, 1936 in Clay City, IL, the daughter of Robert H. & Edna O. (Bayler) Stanford. She married Charles L. "Skip" Corry on June 22, 1957 in Flora. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1989. Cathryn was devoted to her family throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, her Miniature Schnauzer "Katie", traveling, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She is survived by her daughters: Donna & Pat Corry of Flora; brother-in-law: Dean Corry of Flora; brother & sister-in-law: Gene & Thelma Corry of Flora; uncle & aunt: John D. & Dorothy Bayler of Fairfield; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers (Curt & Willis Stanford), and a sister-in-law (Kay Corry). Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday (November 30, 2009) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Bruce Horsley officiating. Burial will follow in Foster Hill (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, Clay City, IL. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Flora Public Library Endowment Fund, Fur A Good Paws, or Clay County Hospice.
