Notes - Bill Wyatt passed away at his home, Curry House in Cadillac on February 5, 2016. He was 83.
Bill was born June 24, 1932 to Oscar and Merl Wyatt. At age 19, he enlisted and served in the U. S. Army as Corporal/Forward Observer in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He received several honors, one being the Purple Heart.
He married Beryl Mitchel February 26, 1954. He worked in various positions on oil well drilling rigs across the country, finishing as a consultant and retiring in 1984.
Bill was a member of the Manton United Methodist Church and was confident of where he would be after death. He loved playing all types of games, especially euchre and pinochle. He was an avid golfer and member of the Missaukee Golf Course.
As health failed, he was able to enjoy putting contests with friends at Curry House. Wherever Bill went , there would be a joke or story to follow. His family loved his humor; as did the many people he came in contact with. He was always making people laugh and felt it was his gift from God to make others smile.
Bill is survived by his three children: Steve, Tom, and Paula Kibbe; eight grandchildren ; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl, of 59 years; sisters: Lucille Kauble, Neva Slankard; and brother, Neil Wyatt; along with many special in-laws.
Per his request his body has been donated for scientific research.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Curry House.
