  	John Mason, a resident of Morgan and Scott County for more than 60 years, passed away at 3:00 o'clock this morning, at the home of his son, George Mason, five and one-half miles northeast of Murrayville. He had been in declining health for several months. Mr. Mason was born in Yorkshire England, March 10, 1844. He came to Illinois in 1868 and was engaged in farming for a long period.
