  Billy Gene Young, age 73, of Cottage Grove, OR, formerly of Flora, IL, passed away at 1:50 am November 15, 2014 at Home. Billy was born March 24, 1941 in Hope, IL, the son of Carol Eugene Young and Martha Alice Hammack. He married Linda Rose Peters (Graham) on June 25, 1976. He worked in the oil fields all his life. Billy is survived by sons, Billy Draper of Alaska, and Jeffery (Kristle) Peters of Cottage Grove, OR; daughters, Annette Draper of Alaska, Rose (Renee) Pat (Pork) Senters of Cottage Grove, OR, and Rhonda (Robert) Sturm of Clay City IL; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, Everett Young and Danny Young; and sisters, Luella Justice, Velda Persinger, Ida Rado, Linda Pruitt, Charolette Pride, and Kimberly Young. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Scott Young, and sister, Florene Sharp. Graveside services are Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:30am at Powers Church in Xenia, IL. Meal and fellowship afterwards at 201 Locust Street in Flora. Donations can be made to the family for final expenses.
