  Maurice Denton, 89, of Guthrie, OK formerly of Olney and Clay City, IL, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Guthrie, OK. Maurice Denton was born on April 9, 1931 in Seminole, OK, the son of Bosie and Grace (Strosnider) Denton. He married Erma Joan Bayler on December 31, 1954 in Clay City, IL, and Erma preceded him in death on October 10, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Maurice Denton is survived by daughters, Carol Ann Andreatta (husband Albert) of Guthrie, OK and Mary Jane Divine (husband Steven) of Guthrie, OK; four grandchildren, Timothy (T.J.) Estelle, Sarah Hintz, Brittney Anderson and Alex Andreatta; and three great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Denton of Marietta, OH. Maurice work many different oil field jobs in his life. After retirement, he drove a school bus for East Richland School District for many years. He loved to go fishing and camping, travel, play pinochle, dominoes, especially 42, and other card and board games. He enjoyed a leisurely drive in the countryside. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, IL.
