- Stella attended school in Clay City before the family moved to northern Illinois where she attended school in Magnolia for 10 years. She excelled in penmanship and playing the violin.
The family moved to Bradley, Illinois in 1932 and she was very active in the Methodist Church in Kankakee. She married Harry C. Lunkusky in December, 1936. They did considerable traveling and helped in local politics. She served on election boards and as a juror. In 1955 they adopted a son.
They moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1971 and she served on election boards there also.
Stella loved fishing, knitting, playing cards and working puzzles. She was also a very talented organist.
