Selected for the Air Corps, completed basic training, attended the 20 week Radio Operator and 6 week Radio Mechanic Schools, and eventually qualified in the military occupational specialty of Administrative Specialist (MOS 502). Served stateside, assigned to the 731st Army Air Forces Base Unit. Honorably discharged as a Sergeant on February 18, 1946 at the Separation Center, Camp Beale, California. Earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. Charles B. Pringle, 62, Clay City, died at his home.

He was born in Tulsa, OK February 7, 1916, the son of Guy and Pearl Pringle. He married Dorothea L. Lutz June 2, 1941 at Lebanon, MO.

He was a member of the Clay City United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Bernie Lee; a daughter, Sharon Lyerla; a brother, Lloyd; sisters, Freda Senger, Jennie Postle, and Eugenia Spencer; father, Guy; and five grandchildren.

Services were held at the Cardascio Funeral Home in Clay City with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.
