    • Phillip R. Hall, 71, of Ramsey, formerly of Clay City, died at 4:52 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2002, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

      Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Houston Jackson and Brother Larry Mattson officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.

      Mr. Hall was born on September 6, 1930, in Bridgeport, the son of William Elmer and Beulah E. (Keneipp) Hall. He married Charlene Pygott on November 27, 1949, in Mattoon. She survives.

      He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist 'Church in Ramsey.

      Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Charlene Hall, of Ramsey; a son, Donnie Hall and his wife, Janet, of Clay City; a daughter, Barbara Pulley, of Johnston'City; a brother, Eugene Hall, of Clay City; a sister, Evelyn Hostettler, of Clay City; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Ramsey.
