Mrs. Paul Bernard Crackel, until three years ago a resident of Alton, died Friday at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis. She had been ill for two weeks.

Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Crackel moved from Alton to Madison where Crackel, a fireman for the Illinois Terminal Railroad Co., had been transferred by his company.
