- Peoria: Elener F. Patridge 72, of Peoria passed away at 11:30 p.m. on October 18, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Elener was born on July 18, 1940 in Clay City, Illinois. She was the daughter of Floyd & Naomi (Brummet) Fildes. She married Leland in their home town of Clay City, Illinois on December 22, 1957. Her husband of 54 years survives.
Elener worked as a sales clerk at Walter Brothers Harley Davidson until her retirement.
She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, riding her own motorcycle through all but five states. Elener was a life member of Peoria Motorcycle Club Auxiliary, and past member of the American Motorcycle Association. In 1978, she was nominated as USA Female Motorcycle Rider of the Year.
Lee and Elener spent many vacations riding their motorcycles from coast-to-coast, with their close friends. Since retirement, the couple enjoyed weekly lunch outings with their friends; attended many out-of-town/state, motorcycle races and annual vacations in Daytona Beach, FL and Las Vegas, NV.
She is also survived by two sons, Greg and Jeff; two brothers, Elsworth F. and Eugene F. Fildes; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandson Kurtis, and her sister Evelyn.
Elener was a faithful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Visitation was at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, in Peoria. Funeral Services immediately followed with Pastor Kevin Dell officiating.
There was a second funeral service in her home town at Summers-Kistlers Funeral Home in Clay City with visitation one hour prior.
Pastor Mark Canada officiated.
Burial was in Clay City Cemetery, in Clay City, IL.
