  Robert Lewis Beck, 86, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Sunday (May 27, 2012), Champaign. He was born on February 15, 1926, a son of Arthur and Bernice Smith Beck. He married Norma Jean Watson on July 18, 1947. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William (Bud) Beck and Oliver Jack Beck and his son, Jack Beck. He is survived by two children, Steve and David Beck of Champaign; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He served as a U.S. Navy Seabee during World war II.
