  • Notes
    • She was a sister to Milllgan and Fletcher Arnold, of South Clay City.

Grandma Lowry, as we all knew her, was one of the few remaining pioneer
spirits of our country. Uniting with the Baptist Church when 20 yrs. of age.
She ever lived a christian life, and believed it to be her duty on earth to do
all the good she could and boldly she went at the task. Coming to this country when it was new. she met the battles of pioneer life with a resolution to conquer, that knew no such word as fail. She enjoyed Its pleasures and bore its afflictions and Inconveniences with a spirit of contentment that spoke more eloquently than words, that she was making the best of this early settlers life. Ever ready with the hand of charity for the poor and needy, she was also always ready with consolation for the distressed.
