- Herman I. Ledeker, 80, of 1014 E. South Avenue, passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon, Dec. 14, 1966, at the family residence. He had lived at this address for the past 16 years.
Mr. Ledeker was born in Richland County and was the son of Edward Ledeker and Wilhelmina Ledeker. He was a pipefitter and had worked for many years in construction work. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Mr. Ledeker was married to Viola Shick on December 20, 1905. She survives him. Also surviving are six children; Burnis P. Ledeker of Champaigh, Lester R. Ledeker of Sumner, Eugene Ledeker of Billings, Mont., Bob Ledeker of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Urene Abernathy of Salem, and Mrs. Betty White of Olney. There are eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Louise Ledeker of Hanna City, Illinois, Marvin Ledeker of Wilmington, Delaware, W. E. Ledeker of Arkansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Berth Ramsey of Chicago, Mrs. Ida Jones of Vincennes, Ind., Mrs. Carrie Hale of Sumner, Mrs. Gladys Fulk of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Minnie Bryan of Deland and Mrs. Millie Provines of West Salem. There are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the Crest Haven memorial Park Cemetery.
