    • Burnis P. Ledeker, age 63, of Champaign died suddenly yesterday at the family residence.

      Mr. Ledeker was a native of Lawrence County and was born near Bridgeport the son of Herman I. Ledeker and Viola Shick Ledeker. He was married to Elda Gifford on January 19, 1963. Mr. Ledeker was a steam fitter by trade and was employed by the Stone and Webster Construction
      Company and at the time of his death he was employed at the US. I. Plant at Tuscola. He was member of the Christian Church and had been affiliated with the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

      He leaves his wife Elda, five stepchildren: Mrs. Ruth Isenogle of Mattoon, Mrs. Mary Cade of Clearfield, Utah, Mrs. Martha Green of Ft. Riley, Kans.; John and Charles Provine both of Champaign. There are 9 step-grandchildren. He also leaves his mother Mrs. Viola Ledeker of Olney and the following brothers and sister: Mrs. Betty L. White of Olney, Lester R. Ledeker of Sumner, Mrs. Irene Abernathy of Salem, Eugene Ledeker of Billings, Montana and Bob Ledeker of Casper, Wyo.

      He has been preceded in death by his father Herman Ledeker.

      Graveside services for Mr. Ledeker will be held in Crest Haven Memorial Park with the Rev. Louis Frick officiating.
