- William Robert Barnes, 78, formerly of Clay City, died Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. at Miamisburg, Ohio, where he has been living in retirement.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Easley Funeral Home in Clay City with burial in Clay City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday. His wife passed away in October 1969.
He is survived by a son, John R. Barnes of Chicago, four step-sons, Stanley Carter of Ohio, Laurel Carter of Minnesota, Earl and George
Carter of Montana and four step-daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Corle of Montana, Mrs. Blanche Comet of California, Mrs. Swigart and Mrs. Fern Eyer, both of Ohio. There are 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
