Notes - Donald Lee Brant, 65, of Clay City, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Brant was born May 4, 1941, in Clay County, the son of Johnnie M. and Ina C. (Lewis) Brant. He married Lou Anna Cox on February 15, 1962. She survives.
He had recently retired as a cost accountant for North American Lighting in Flora. He was a member of Ingraham Christian Church but attended Clay City Christian Church. He was a member of Star Chapter 229 Motorcycle Club in Effingham.
Mr. Brant is survived by his wife, Lou Anna Brant, of Clay City; parents, Johnnie and Ina Lewis, of Clay City; daughter, Tina Lynn Patton and her husband, Jonathan, of Rockport, Ind.; sons, David Lee Brant and his wife, Sheryl, of Cisne, and John Michael Brant, of Urbana; brothers, Dean Brant and his wife, Donna, of Louisville, and Dennis Brant and his wife, Janet, of Fairfield; and grandchildren, Carmen Marie Wedding, Corey Patton Inman and Lexi Jo Brant.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Minister Carson Root officiating.
Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.
Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Pine Haven Christian Ranch or to the donor's choice.
