Alvis William Norton Obituary
Services for Alvis William Norton, 80, of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Westside Assembly of God with the Rev. Larry Tilmon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Norton died Saturday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 1, 1922 in Clay City, Ill. to William and Oddia Norton.
Mr. Norton was a retired painter. He was a member of Westside Assembly of God. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by daughters, ----- Lathrop of Palestine and ----- Easley of Tennessee; son, ----- Norton of Illinois; sister, ----- Dunlap of Illinois; half-brother, ------ Norton of Illinois; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
