  Martha E. Hosselton, 86, of Mt. Vernon, IL formerly of Flora, IL passed away 4:40AM Monday, September 29, 2014 at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center at Mt. Vernon, IL. Martha was born May 29, 1928 at Mexico, MO to Noble and Bertha A. (Mitchell) Carter. She married Luther B. Jr. Hosselton January 30, 1948 at Henderson, KY. He preceded her in death February 15, 1980. Martha was a self-employed cosmetologist, a member of Oak Street Southern Baptist Church and a past member of BMPW at Flora, IL Martha is survived by one daughter Gerri Sutherland of Mt. Vernon, IL; one sister Loretta (Jim) Lagle of Flora, IL; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Preceding her in death were her husband, one infant child, one infant grandchild, five brothers, one sister, one nephew and her parents. Funeral services for Martha Hosselton will be 2PM Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at Oak St. Southern Baptist Church in Flora. Burial will be in Floral Garden of Memories. Visitation will be 6-8PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the activity fund at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
