  Pueblo Chieftain 2.29.1932 Davis Mortuary Funeral services for John David Travis will be held at 2.p.m. Wednesday June 29, in the Chapel of the Davis Mortuary, Rev. Mr. Tweeds will officiate. Interment will be made at Roselawn Cemetery. Pueblo Chieftain June 27 1932 Davis Mortuary John David Travis age 73 years, passed away at a local hospital Sunday Morning, June 26, as a result of injuries received Saturday. Mr Travis was a resident of Avondale and is survived by his widow Mary Alice, of the family home; eight daughters, Mrs W.H. Carpenter and Mrs H.J. Blanchard, both of Boone, Mrs W C Smith of Chicago Ill, Mrs George Sarver of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs William J. Butler of Rocky Ford, Colo.,Mrs Paul Bacon of La Junta, Colo., Mrs H.I. Sweeney of Burlington, Colo., Mrs Jack Harwood of San Bernadino, Calif.; one son, Wade H Travis, of Illinois. Mrs Travis held membership in the Christian Church.
