- Noble E. Walker, 70, Clay City, died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday in Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Services will be in the Clay City Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Allen presiding. Visitation will be in the Hosselton-Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City. Burial will be in the Clay City Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was born March 6, 1914, in Mason, son of William and Florence (Cornwell) Walker. He married Betty Phillips Nov. 2, 1968, in Effingham, and she survives.
He was a retired gauger for Ashland Oil Co. and a member of the Old Union Christian Church in Louisville and the Clay City Odd Fellows.
Other survivors include four sons, William, Strasburg; Jack, Louisville; Charles, Overdon, Texas; and Noble, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Janet Culver, Strasburg; Mrs, Mary Britton, Clay City; Mrs. Kay Taylor, Flora; Mrs. Betty Belleville, Louisville; and Mrs. Ruth Krieg, Flora; a step-son Steven Phillips, at home; two brothers, Charles, Joliet; and Riley, Flora; three sisters, Frances Sills, Iuka; Mrs. Mildred IJoston, Xenia; and Mrs. Helen Kincaid, Louisville; 22 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
