  Donald Edward Stanley, 88, of Louisville died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Mr. Stanley was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Hoosier Township, the son of Walter Peyton and Catherine (Van Houten) Stanley. He married Luanna Ellen Dillman Sept. 1, 1951 at Hoosier Baptist Church. A farmer, Mr. Stanley was a member of the Clay County Farm Bureau and Ingraham Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Luanna; son, James Stanley; daughter, Jane Morris; sisters, Erma Blessman and Norma Lambert; grandchildren, Rachel Morris and Katie Morris; and great-grandchild, Jackson Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Ingraham Christian Church, Ingraham with the Rev. Ron Payne officiating. Burial was in Ingraham Cemetery, Ingraham. Memorials to Ingraham Christian Church. Published in the Effingham Daily News.
