- Enlisted and entered active service on May 29, 1943. Served as a cook stateside and in the Pacific Theater of Operations at the Navy 3149 Base located at Ngolos in Eastern Samar, the Philippines. Awarded The American Campaign Medal, The Philippine Liberation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class on December 27, 1945.
