  Hughey Funeral Home, Sunday, July 5, 2015 Timothy John Franklin, 60, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:50 P.M. Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born Sunday, December 19, 1954 in Dixon, Illinois to parents, Carl Dean & Hazel Christina (Holman) Franklin. He married Brenda Kay Smith on October 9, 1977 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Tim is survived by his wife: Brenda Kay Franklin of Mount Vernon, Illinois, two sons: Matthew Stone and Jeffery Stone, both of Flora, Illinois, two daughters: Angie Martin and husband Eddie of Flora, Illinois and Sue Ann Stanley and husband Brad of Cottage Grove, Oregon and several grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Tim was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces Green Berets, was a semi-truck driver and member of St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and Turner Roehm AMVETS Post 4, both of Mount Vernon. Memorial Service Friday, July 10, 10:00 AM, St. Mary Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Pastor Dan Harriman will officiate. Burial St. Mary Cemetery.
