Minnie E. Papa Ramsey, 99, of Sullivan, passed into the arms of Jesus, Sunday March 22, 2020 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made in care of the family. McMullin-Young Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
Minnie was born September 17, 1920, in Iola; the daughter of Arthur and Goldie D. (Sutton) Colclasure. She married Rayford A. Ramsey on October 5, 1936, in Effingham; he preceded her in death on May 18, 1984. She enjoyed going fishing, and loved her family and her dog Mater. Minnie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Burkhalter of Sumrall, MS; grandson and caregiver, Scottie (Tracy) Ramsey of Sullivan; plus 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Phyllis Dugan, Marie Utsler, sons, Harold D. Ramsey and Carl E. Butch Ramsey, as well as, her brothers and sisters.
