- Harvey L. Biehl, 82, of Olney, Illinois, died on Monday, May 9, 2022 at his residence.
Harvey was born on March 28, 1940 in Noble, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Ina (Fulk) Biehl. He married Sandra Lake on September 3, 1959 in Olney, Illinois, and she survives.
Harvey worked in the oilfield for many years and later transitioned to Prairie Farms, where he retired. In addition, he had various home improvement jobs on the side. He took pleasure in making a profit by buying, trading, and selling anything he could make money on. Harvey was a big gardener and found peace sitting outside barefoot watching his garden grow alongside his beloved dog, Kubo. Harvey was an avid tinkerer, with a mechanical knowledge that surpasses his formal education. Harvey had a strong faith in the Lord and shared the good news with anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed visiting and sharing the bible at The Masters Hands.
Harvey is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Sandra Biehl of Olney; daughter, Jana Ginder and husband William of Olney; daughter, April Bunting and husband Dave of Olney; son, Jermey Biehl and wife Courlesia of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter-in-law, Clara Biehl of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Joseph Ginder, Breann (Robert) Quick, Olivia Biehl, Whitney (Brandon) Fielden, Dakota (Tahira) Bunting, Sahara Biehl, Simeon Biehl, Solomon Biehl, and Samuel Biehl; great grandchildren, Zander Fielden, Dezran Fielden, and one expected in November; brothers, Darold (Neoma) Biehl and Ted Biehl; sister, Sandra Mock; and several nieces and nephews. .
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Biehl, son, Ricky Biehl, and granddaughter, Kelsey Ginder.
A funeral service for Harvey will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A visitation will be held beforehand, beginning at 9:30 AM.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg, Illinois.
