Notes - Fred S. Beck, age 79, well known German township farmer passed away this morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital, following a long period of ill health.
A lifelong resident of the county, Mr. Beck was born the son of John Beck and Elizabeth Sager Beck.
He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church having been first a member of St. James Church and later a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was a veteran of World War and served in the United States Army.
He was married to Erma Scherer on June 25, 1924. She survives him.
Other survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Wilma Jean Beck of Rt. 2, 01ney; two granddaughters, Carol Sue and Connie Lynn Beck. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Clara Craig and Mrs. Bertha Craig, both of Olney, and a brother-in-law, Orin Scherer of Rt. 2, Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later from the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home.
