      He was born January 16, 1921 in Albers to Nicholas and Sophia (Albers) Wobbe they preceded him in death.

      Also preceded in death by a son in infancy Bernard Wobbe,, brothers and sisters and their spouses Frank and Elsie Wobbe, Catherine and Al Jansen, Aloys and Velma Wobbe, Herman and Louise Wobbe, Alvin Wobbe, Ann and Everett Anderson, brothers-in-law, Raymond Junghans, Joseph Unger.

      He married Betty Junghans September 25, 1946 at St. George Catholic Church, New Baden; she preceded him in death July 17, 2013

      Surviving are his children Bonnie (Dennis) Dalke of Millstadt, Joseph (Nancy) Wobbe of Trenton, Gene (Brenda) Wobbe of Trenton, Jerry (Susan) Wobbe of O'Fallon, Barb (Larry) Olliges of Naperville, Beth (Gordon "Skip) Steck of Frankfort.

      Vic retired from carpentry and farming. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid card player and was instrumental in the building of the existing Trenton Fire Station.

      Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Trenton VFW Post 7983, Aviston American Legion Post 1239, Trenton Knights of Columbus 2932, Carpenter Local 480 Freeburg, Trenton Nut House Club, past trustee of Sugar Creek Fire District, Honorary Mayor of Crackerneck Rd.

      Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Monday July 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.

      Visitation will be held on Sunday July 27, from 2 to 6 PM and Monday July 28, from 8:00 to 9:30 AM at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

      Knights of Columbus will hold services Sunday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
      Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association, American Macular Degeneration Foundation, Sugar Creek Fire District and will be received at the funeral home.
