- Mr. Hanks was a former resident of Charleston, coming here 30 years ago and was employed as an engineer for the Clover Leaf railroad for about seven years. While here he married Miss Rose Quiggins. From here they moved to Indianapolis, where for a number of years he was engaged in railroad work and later became a member of the police department, serving as patrolman and detective. Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Hanks moved to San Diego.
