Notes |
- He was a lifelong farmer and loved the outdoors and nature. After retiring, he took great pleasure in and spent many hours mowing, raking leaves, and growing a garden of vegetables and flowers. He enjoyed sharing the produce with his family and friends. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren. He took great interest in genealogy and tracing his family's roots back through the generations. He spent many hours researching and compiling information. In later years he worked jigsaw puzzles that he would encourage family and visitors to help him complete. Over the years, one of Norman's favorite pastimes was reading. He was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown. He served on the St. Joseph Stringtown Cemetery Committee for numerous years beginning in 1994.
