  He was a well-known and highly respected educator, and at the time of his death was Assistant Superintendent of the East Richland Community Unit Schools Dist. No. 1. He has been a school teacher and school principal. Mr. Provines was one of Olney's most outstanding citizens, having been active in many civic affaris.
