Notes |
- Nolan served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the appliance business until 1975. Later he preached throughout the former Olney District for the United Methodist Church. Nolan was appointed to the Landes United Methodist Church in 1975, appointed to Cisne United Methodist Church full time in 1977, Palestine United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church in 1984 retiring in 1986 then served Mound United Methodist Church for 12 years. Nolan was a member of the Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Oblong American Legion Post #219. Nolan's church home was the Mound Community Church but was a member of the Oblong Evangelical United Methodist Church.
