  Corydon Lee "Yank" Wattles, 89, of Louisville, IL died June 16, 2004, at St. John's Memorial Hospital in Springfield. He was born June 3, 1915 in Clay County, the son of Ralph and Velma Grove Wattles. He married Roxie M. Anderson Feb. 12, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church and a lifelong farmer and an oilfield pumper for 39 years. Father of Kenneth and Freda Wattles. Foster children, Albert Williams, Sharon Williams, and Sherry Greenwood. Brother of Mildred Wolfe, Irma Knowles, Mary Smith, Betty Irland, and Merle Hosick. Grandfather of Brian & John Wattles, Tina Pieplow and great-grandfather of Ian, Kamden & Makina Wattles, and Scott & Daniel Pieplow. Funeral services were held at the Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Christian College, Florissant, MO.
