- Harold T. (Doc) Kuenstler, age 51, prominent citizen of the Wendelin community in Clay County passed away at 5:20 AM. today at the Richland Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Clay County he was he son of Leo Kuenstler and Margaret Seckinger Kuenstler.
He was married to Glenda Vest in Flora on July 26, 1949. Mr. Kuenstler operated afeed store for many years in Wendelin. He was a very active person in community affairs and especially in sporting ircles. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Holy Cross Church at Wendelin, a member f Richland Post No. 30 of the American Legion, a member of Olney Elks Lodge No. 926 and was at the time of his death the secretary of the Clay County Sportsman Club.
He leaves his wife Glenda, two sons Gregory of Clay City and Timothy at home. Other survivors are a daughter-in-law Connie Kuenstler of Clay City, his mother Mrs. MargaretKuenstler of the Wendelin community, a brother Ralph of Peoria and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Pauline) Bahl of Ingraham.
A funeral Mass for Mr. Kuenstler will be recited in the Holy Cross Church at Wendelin with the Rev. Fr. Wilbert Iffert the Celebrant. Interment with full military honors rendered by Olney
Veterans organizations will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home and the Holy Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home. The family has requested those desiring to do so may make Memorials to
the American Cancer Society in envelopes available at the funeral home.
