- Gerald Eugene Wilson, 85, of Olney, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services will be Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Minister Carson Root officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery in rural Wayne County.
Mr. Wilson was born on February 15, 1918 in Wayne County, the son of Glenn and Alice (Daubs) Wilson. He married Ninetta Lutz on June 22, 1940. She preceded him in death in 1957. He later married Geneva (Mitchell) McDowell on August 2,1958. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Clay City Christian Church in Clay City.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Geneva Wilson, of Olney; two sons, Darrell Wilson and his wife, Margie of Clay City, and Brigadier General James K. Wilson and his wife, Karen, of Fairborn, Ohio; two daughters, Dorothy Lane and her husband, Stanley, of Heyworth, and Vanessa Wilson; two step-daughters, Vivian Brooks, of Dallas, Texas, and Barbara Shock, of Salem; and 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, a sister, Dorothy Rexroat, and a half-brother, James Wilson.
