Earned The Purple Heart Medal and was entitled to The American Campaign Medal, The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign with two bronze battle stars (Ardennes and Rhineland), and the WWII Victory Medal. Buried with military honors at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, Illinois. Honored also at the WWII Memorial in that city.
