  Hugh H. Buffington, 77, of Clay City, died 6:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at his home. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Bunker Cemetery. Mr. Buffington was born May 15, 1911 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Samuel and Margaret (Hodge) Buffington. He married Pauline Mix on Feb. 27, 1942 in Boston, Mass. He was a retired farmer, World War II veteran, member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Chicago, a member of the VFW and American Legions in Flora, and a past member of the Eagles Lodge, Flora. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Buffington of Clay City; one daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Luke of Indiana, one son, Jim Buffington of Clay City and five grandchildren.
