    • Alan Gale Cornwell was born in Jasper County, IL on August 14, 1926 the son of Ernest and Helen (Wetherholt) Cornwell . He married Marion May Webster on January 7, 1948.
      Surviving are daughters, Brenda J. Huff (George Rodman), and Lana C. Romaine (Lee); grandchildren, Ashley D. Huff (Jill) and Cortni B. Romaine; great-grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Huff and Harrison Turner Huff; brothers, Robert Cornwell (Connie) and Mike Cornwell (Tammy); sisters, Arlene Whitehurst, JoAnn Hanson, and Kathy Tesch (Aaron); aunt, Florence Zimmerman and many cousins.
      He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; his parents and sisters, Mary Lou Carter, Ann Gee, and Sharon Spencer.
      Gale served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific and in Germany. He was recalled to serve in the Korean Conflict.
