Phillip Warren Dulaney, of Boulder, died of natural causes Friday, May 6, 2005, in Boulder. He was 78.
The son of Alcium Warren Dulaney and Lavena Corrine Randall Dulaney, he was born June 30, 1926, in Flora, Ill. He married Lyndall N. Moore Purcell on Oct. 18, 1944. They divorced.
Mr. Dulaney moved to Boulder in 1952.
He worked for Chevrolet as a mechanic and salesman from 1952 to 1972, and for Boulder Toyota as a mechanic from 1972 to 1992.
Mr. Dulaney served in the Army from Nov. 2, 1944, until Aug. 23, 1946. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW.
"He loved all outdoor sports, especially hunting, fishing and gardening," his family said.
Survivors include a son, Steven Dulaney, of Louisville; a daughter, Sharon Bauer, of Buckeye, Ariz.; a brother, Dale Dulaney, of Flora, Ill.; a sister, Bonnie Thatcher, of Flora; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. Dulaney Jr., and two brothers, Carl Dulaney and Joe Dulaney.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today in the Crist Mortuary Stateroom, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder.
A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. The Rev. Trudy Robinson, of Trinity Methodist Church, will officiate.
