Notes - Delbert L. Erwin, 88, of Earlville, IL passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in Mendota Lutheran Home in Mendota. He was born April 27, 1925 in Hoosier Township in Clay County, Illinois. He married Charlotte Warren on December 24, 1947 in Louisville, IL. He was a member of Earlville United Presbyterian Church, and the Earlville American Legion. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a Pastor at Nazarene Church in Sheridan for several years. He retired from Federal Huber in Plano after many years.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte ; one son, Michael (Sandy) Erwin of Earlville, IL; one daughter, Kaye (Gene) Saylor of Sheridan, IL; five grandchildren, Jeff (Tina) Saylor, Melissa (Bret) Collins, Shawn (Angela) Warren, Adrienne Erwin and Ben (Sarah) Erwin; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Louetta (Carol) Rhinehart of Chester, IL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Vincent Erwin; several half brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m., Monday, February 10, 2014 at Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville, IL with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014 in the church.
